Another thing that could have weakened his achilles was the heat wrap they put around his leg on the sidelines.

Sad to think that Durant might not be playing at 100% until the 2021 season. They really shouldnt have brought him back.

I was honestly so disappointed in the crowd for cheering when he went down. I’m from Toronto too but felt that was just really disrespectful.

I'm not an expert but I tore my achilles six years ago. I still ain't the same. I'm not a pro athlete like KD so I don't have the same medical staffs to help me but I ain't playing pro ball. The stairs still give me fits!!! I don't believe Kevin will ever be quite the same. He'll be great but no longer best in the league discussion great.

Of course you won`t get a truthful answer from the GSW. They were giving misinformation all playoffs to play mind games with the opponents. Guess they fooled themselves this time.

KD was an injury waiting to happen. For all those putting pressure on him,  shame. He looked to he medical staff to give him guidance. They failed. The whole world was shocked he played in game 5. A significant calf strain is related to the Achilles. They are attached for`f----- sake. Put into a high tempo finals play off game with virtually no prep. wow ! Call your lawyer KD.

Maybe if we stopped calling it Achiles's and start calling Thanos's instead, people might not get injured often? 🤔

I mean sad, was never a KD fan or Warriors one for that matter but sucks when this happens during FINALS of a season.. Feel sorry for him.. Sure he got 3 but "ending it like this" isn't good, there been other sportswo/men that have had their sudden down during their most up in a career, must be heartbreaking

The doc said the most important aspect of this injury controversy. “Any time you have a lower leg injury (muscle or tendon) your body automatically adjust how it functions. With means the surrounding muscles takes up the slack. More load force and/or fatigue. We saw him sitting there his lower leg being wrapped. Tell tell sign the doctors focused solely on the calf area, instead of keeping the surrounding muscles/tendons loose as well. I guarantee you Durant PT will be focused on the foot, Achilles and calf. Because they are all connected. This is nothing unique I’ve been through Achilles strain treatment.

Durant's injury, unfortunately, has historical precedence. An ESPN reporter said that D. Wilkins has been the only guy to successfully return from an achilles tear. I saw another station pick up that comment and show highlights of Wilkins before and after his injury. Wilkins never made it back...and he didn't even come close. His bounce was gone. If anyone can come back, it's Durant. His huge size/length and shooting ability have always made him a unicorn. Any team, who may sign him to a max. deal, is taking a huge risk. GS is in a tough cap spot. They have to give up one of their main guys. I think Green is gone. He's not worth a max. deal but he's demanding one. He may get it (any team would be crazy!) but it won't be with GS or a contender, IMO. My main question is about NBA morals and whether there are any at all. I. Thomas' case says, "no way!" Did Durant's injury create a moral obligation on the part of GS? Of course, an obligation isn't in stone but GS may still act on it. At the least, they have to sit him for a year and pay him 31.5 million. But..they have to pay K. Thompson and I'm not sure both fit in the cap with Curry's max. deal in place. I don't think an NBA team can have three super max. salary slots. The Durant/Irving combo, with the Nets, is likely done. I don't see him going to the Clippers, to meet Leonard, because he's probably happy in Toronto. Free agency should be interesting. I'm anxious to see how GS handles their championship star player, Durant. From a business standpoint, they have to do everything to sign Thompson as priority #1. Get healthy, K.D.!! Sorry for the book comment.

Great video, Coach. It's crazy/sad that we might have seen the last of KD at his absolute best. History doesn't favor players returning to peak form after suffering an major achilles injury. Hope he recovers well and breaks that trend.

I'm pissed, really, because a player like KD, it's a waste to lose him to injury, we don't want another Drose in the NBA
